We at DECCANSOFT are a very flexible lot. We have worked with most of the development
methodologies WATERFALL, XP, RAD, AGILE, etc to name a few. Though each of them
is unique in its own way, it all boils down to one thing. Delivering a world class
product that exceeds expectations in all spheres. When our development center was
first setup, we logically leaned towards the Waterfall model where pretty much everything
was sequential. The gathering of requirements, design, implementation etc all were
done in a sequential pattern. This model was easy to understand and implement. The
downside was that there was slippage in deliverables due to delay in timely client
interaction. We later switched to AGILE model which works well in today’s world.
A few of the guidelines for the Agile Development Process are:
- Deliverables are scheduled at a more frequent level
- Late changes are welcome
- Continuing adaptation to changing requirements
- Constant attention to design and execution
- Project teams are comprised of highly motivated and ethical minded members
- The principal measure of progress is functional deliverables We support and encourage
an atmosphere for risk taking. We encourage our associates to take measured risks
since we strongly believe that failures are indeed stepping stones to success.
