SQL Server Reporting Services

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based report generation software system. SSRS is used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports. It is administered via web interface. Reporting services feature web services interface to support the development of custom reporting applications. It can be used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports. SSRS is capable of generating reports in various formats such as the web-oriented Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and desktop application (Microsoft Excel and CSV) formats, thus allowing users to manipulate data in required format.

This extensive SSRS training is provided to help the participants to understand the complete report life cycle.

It also helps the participants to gain complete understanding of report creation using wide variety of report items, report deployment, report management and report delivery.

Objectives

To Use SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools) in detail for development of SSRS Project.
To gain understanding of how to develop, format and manage reports
To understand the Complete SSRS lifecycle
To create reports using Wizard, Report Designer and Report Builder
To understand and use different report items like Table, Matrix, list, Image, Textbox, Line etc.
To enhance the report with formatting Grouping and summarizing the data
To understand and use Data visualization items like Chart, Gauge, Sparkline, databar etc.
To use expression, Collections, Global Collection
To use single valued,multi valued,cascading parameters
To use sub report and Dill down report,Drill through report
To use interactive sorting,document map,Custom function.
To Deploy, publish the reports and configure report server and report manager Url and Report server database
To work with report Manager for managing folders, Configuring Data Source, Data Set properties and Security
To learn caching, report snapshot, report history, site setting, subscription, reportpart.

Pre-requisites

Participants are need to be familiar with RDBMS concepts with skills to write queries. Working experience on any RDBMS would be an added advantage.
